A personal blog · Singapore

Small forward surges in an ordinary day — written down before they fade.

I'm Jon. I live in Ang Mo Kio and write about the parts of Singapore that don't make headlines — the kopitiam before the interchange wakes, the park path after rain, the small exchanges at an MRT ticket gate. Nothing here is a product or a publication schedule; it's one person's notebook, left open.

If you like plain sentences and neighbourhood texture, start with the journal or the piece below — the one I wrote from Chin Swee on a night I still think about.

Who writes this

Jon — no staff, no sponsors, just someone who notices how a bus number or a window ledge can hold a whole afternoon.

I walk Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park more often than is strictly necessary and I keep a paper notebook in my market bag.
